How to Download the Shoptiques POS iPhone App
Please go to Apple's app store to download the Shoptiques POS Tools App.
- Open the App Store.
- Tap 'Search' in the bottom menu bar and search for 'Shoptiques POS Tools'.
- Tap 'Get' to install the Shoptiques POS Tools app.
- When the download finishes, tap 'Open' to launch the SPOS Tools app.
How to Update your App to the Latest Version
- Open the App Store.
- Go to the Updates page by clicking the Updates icon at the bottom menu.
- Under Available, find Shoptiques POS Tools app.
- Tap "UPDATE".
- After the app is updated, please click "OPEN".
How to Check Whether the Version you are using is the latest version of the app
- Open the App Store.
- Go to the Updates page by clicking the Updates icon at the bottom menu.
- Look for Shoptiques POS Tools app under the Available section.
- If Shoptiques POS Tools app is not there, your Shoptiques POS Tools app is up to date.
- If Shoptiques POS Tools app is in the list, please update your app by clicking "UPDATE".
- After the app is updated, please click "OPEN".
How to Log in to your Account on Shoptiques POS Tools App
After the app is launched, please log in using your Shoptiques POS account credentials you use to log in to your Shoptiques POS web application on pos.shoptiques.com.
- Tap 'Log in'.
- Enter the organization name, email, and password as you do when you log in to pos.shoptiques.com web application.
- Tap 'Log in'.
How to Set up Logging in with Face ID and Touch ID
Shoptiques POS Tools app allows you to quickly and securely log in to the app with Touch ID or Face ID. Setting up Touch ID or Face ID is very easy.
To log in to Shoptiques POS app with Face ID, please follow the following steps:
- Please fill in the login form and make sure to check 'Enable Face ID.
- Tap 'Log in'.
- Close the app and the next time you open the app, the app will try to log you in with Face ID automatically.
To log in to Shoptiques POS app with Touch ID, please follow the following steps:
- Please fill in the login form and make sure to check "Lock with Touch ID".
- Tap "Log in".
- When you re-open Shoptiques Tools app, the app will ask for your touch ID and try to log you in.
View Your Sales
Shoptiques POS Tools app lets you quickly check your sales, compare your store's performance to a previous period, view your top-selling products, and more, with just a tap.
When you launch the app, you will immediately see your store's performance starting with Sales Activity, Total Sales by Hours/Days/Weeks/Months, Tenders by Total Sales in your store, and the Top-selling Products.
Date Range & Comparison
You can filter the data by a specific date or date range. Shoptiques Tools app also allows you to compare how the selected date range performed against another date range.
- Click on the date dropdown at the top-left corner.
- Select a preset or custom range.
- To select a custom date range, click 'Custom' and pick a start date or end date. *If only the start date is entered, the date filter will be a date instead of a date range.
- Tap 'OK'.
- Tap 'OK' to apply the filter.
(Optional) You can choose to compare your store's performance to a previous date or date range. To do so:
- Please click on the date picker dropdown at the top-left corner.
- Tap "COMPARE TO".
- Choose the preset previous period from the selected period or set a custom date or date range by picking a start date and/or an end date.
- Tap "OK" to apply the filter.
How to Use Locations Filter
You can also filter the data by choosing at least one or more locations. When you select a location, only the sales information in that location will be loaded.
- Click on the location icon at the top-right corner.
- Select one or more locations from the dropdown.
- Click "None" to select none of the locations.
- Click "All" to select all locations.
- Click "OK" to apply the filter.
Sales Activity Report
The top section of the reporting page is called Sales Activity. This section displays key statistics of your store's performance and lets you compare the performance to a previous period.
Please find the exact definitions of how each metric is calculated below:
Total Sales: Gross Sales - discounts - returns + taxes + shipping + restocking fees (excluding gift cards and layaway deposits)
Net Sales: Gross Sales - discounts - returns
Sales Count: Number of Sales
Average Sale Value: Total sales divided by the number of sales (excluding returns)
Returns: Sum of returned subtotals
Discounts: Total discounts on sales - total discounts on return transactions
Sales Tax: Total tax amount charged on sales - tax refunded on returns
Card Payment: Credit and debit card payments received - refund (excluding e-commerce payments)
▲ / ▼: How the current date range compares with your selected comparison period
Sales Trends Report
The sales graphs show a summary of sales data over time. The unit of time in the graph changes according to the date filter selected. You can see the sales number by clicking on the bars in the graph.
- If the date filter is shorter or equal to 3 days, the unit of time will be hours.
- If the date filter is longer than 3 days and shorter than or equal to 6 weeks, the unit of time will be days.
- If the date filter is longer than 6 weeks and shorter than or equal to 6 months, the unit of time will be weeks.
- If the date filter is longer than 6 months, the unit of time will be months.
Adding a comparison date range will create a second graph that enables you to visually compare the performance of 2 periods against each other.
Tenders by Total Sales Report
This section shows you the breakdown of sales (excluding sales on Shoptiques.com) by tender type. It allows you to see the most popular payment methods at your store.
Card: Credit and debit card payments received - refunds (excluding Shoptiques.com orders)
Cash: Cash payments received - refunds (excluding Shoptiques.com orders)
Store Credit: Store credit payments received - refunds (excluding Shoptiques.com orders)
Gift Card: Gift card payments received - refunds (excluding Shoptiques.com orders)
Custom Payment: Custom payments - refunds (excluding Shoptiques.com orders)
Top Selling Products Report
This section lets you view your top-selling products by net sales and net quantity sold.
Product Name: The name of the product
Net Sales: Gross Sales - discounts - returns
Net Sold: Number of items sold - number of items returned
The report can be sorted by Net Sales or Net Sold by tapping "Sorted by" at the top-right corner of the report.
How to Enable Push Notifications
With real-time push notifications, you are able to stay up to date with the latest POS product releases and new features. To enable push notifications, please follow these steps:
- When you log in to your account on Shoptiques POS Tools app for the first time, you will be asked to enable notifications.
- Please tap "YES".
- Another alert box will pop up to ask you to allow Shoptiques POS Tools to send you notifications.
- Please tap "Allow" - and now you are all set for push notifications.
To configure the settings of the push notifications from Shoptiques POS Tools app, please follow the steps below:
- Go to "Settings" by clicking the Settings app icon.
- Scroll down to the bottom where you can see a list of all the applications installed on your phone.
- Click on Shoptiques POS Tools app.
- Tap "Notifications" on the menu.
- Here you can enable/disable the notifications feature on Shoptiques POS Tools app, enable certain alert methods, turn on/off sounds effect, and more.
