We understand that taxes may be different for each department. Therefore, our system enables you to assign products to a department, and each department can have its own tax rate. This greatly increases the flexibility of setting up taxes.
This article will teach you how to create a department. Click "Products" button in the navigation menu on the left. Under the "Products" button, an expanded menu should appear and click on the button "Departments":
You will be brought to a page named "Departments" and in here you can add, edit, and remove any department.
Create a Department
Click the "ADD DEPARTMENT" button at the top-right corner.
The "Add Department" popup window will show. And you could put in the name of the department. In this case, the name would be "Dresses". We allow you to set up 2-level department, which means that you can set up sub-department under "Dresses". For now, press "Add Department".
After clicking the button, you should be able to see "Dresses" on the department list:
Create a Sub-Department
To create a sub-department, it is very similar to creating a department. Click the blue "ADD DEPARTMENT" at the top-right corner on the "Departments" page. Select a "Parent Department" by clicking the "Parent Department" input box and selecting an existing department from the drop-down. Type in the name of the sub-department in the "Name" input box. After filling in the two boxes, click "Add Department".
Now you should see the sub-department appears on the Department list:
